Giving Materials a Second Life
Many materials that would otherwise become waste can still serve a useful purpose.
Where possible we:
Donate matboard and mounting board offcuts to local schools, kindergartens and community groups.
Provide bubble wrap and protective packaging to local businesses for reuse.
Recycle cardboard, paper, plastics, glass and many other packaging materials through local recycling programmes.
By extending the life of these materials, we reduce unnecessary waste while supporting others within our community.
Choosing Materials Carefully
Where practical, we offer framing materials that have been produced with environmental considerations in mind.
As suppliers continue developing more sustainable products, we aim to incorporate suitable options into our workshop without compromising the quality, longevity or craftsmanship our customers expect.
Continuous Improvement
Sustainability isn’t achieved through one big change.
It’s the result of many small improvements made over time.
As new materials, technologies and recycling opportunities become available, we’ll continue looking for practical ways to reduce waste and improve the environmental performance of our workshop.
Working Together
Many of our customers also choose to reuse existing frames, reglaze damaged frames or restore older framing rather than replacing it entirely.
Whenever appropriate, we’re happy to discuss these options as another practical way of extending the life of existing framing materials.
Why It Matters
For us, sustainability isn’t about making grand promises.
It’s about making thoughtful decisions every day—using materials responsibly, reducing unnecessary waste and finding practical ways to give useful materials a second life.
