Gummed Tape

Gummed paper tape or also known as water activated kraft paper tape is coated with vegetable glue and used in finishing arts , framing and packaging.

Brown gum paper tape is still preferred by many framers for sealing the backs of pictures.

Be sure to wet it thoroughly with a sponge or through a dispenser, otherwise it will tend to bubble away from the frame.

Often more durable in warm conditions.
